Hannah Kate

poet, short story writer and editor based in Manchester

North Manchester FM: Hannah’s Bookshelf, Saturday 17 July, 2-4pm

Join me on Saturday at 2pm on North Manchester FM for more from Hannah’s Bookshelf. This week, my guest will be the wonderful Johnny Mains.

Johnny is a British Fantasy Award winning editor and author. His first book, 2010’s Back From the Dead: The Legacy of the Pan Book of Horror Stories led him directly to working with Pan Macmillan and bringing out the very first volume of The Pan Book of Horror Stories originally published in 1959. From there he created the critically acclaimed Dead Funny: Horror Stories by Comedians (co-edited with Robin Ince), several volumes of Best British Horror and brought to print many lost works of Victorian fiction by female writers. He is also the author of three collections and one novel. He lives in the South West of England.

I’ll be talking to Johnny about his books, and about horror writing in general. And, of course, he’ll be sharing his selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.

Catch the show on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
