North Manchester FM: Hannah’s Bookshelf, Saturday 18 November, 2-4pm

Join me on Saturday at 2pm on North Manchester FM for this week’s Hannah’s Bookshelf. Saturday’s guest will be the lovely Harriet Goodchild.

Harriet was born in Glasgow and lives in Edinburgh. She travelled between them the long way round, via New England and middle England, and along the way she studied flies and silkmoths and plants that glow in the dark. Her background in science (BSc in Zoology and PhD in Chronobiology) is why she writes fantasy: it allows her to make stuff up and indulge her love of folk songs. She is the author of two novels, After the Ruin and The Crooked Path, both published by Hadley Rille Books.

I’ll be talking the Harriet about her novels, and about the relationship between science and fantasy. And, of course, she’ll be sharing her selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.

Tune in on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
