Hannah Kate

poet, short story writer and editor based in Manchester

North Manchester FM: Hannah’s Bookshelf, Saturday 3 July, 2-4pm

Tune in this Saturday at 2pm for more from Hannah’s Bookshelf on North Manchester FM. This week, I’ll be talking to the brill Thomas McColl. (You may remember that Thomas was one of the performers on last year’s (Not Quite) Live Poetry Special.)

Thomas McColl has had poems published in magazines such as Envoi, Iota, Prole, International Times and Ink, Sweat & Tears, and his latest collection, Grenade Genie, came out last year with Manchester-based publisher Fly on the Wall Press. Tom’s read his poetry and stories at many events in London and beyond – including Fire and Dust, Celine’s Salon, The Quiet Compere and Manchester’s Speak Easy (run by Andy N) – and has been featured on BBC Radio Kent, BBC Radio WM, Brum Radio and previously on Hannah’s Bookshelf.

I’ll be talking to Tom about his writing and his latest collection, and about his influences and inspirations. And, of course, he’ll be sharing his selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.

Catch the show on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
