North Manchester FM: A Helping of History, Tuesday 20 February, 12-2pm

Join me on Tuesday at 12 for another Helping of History on North Manchester FM.

This week, I’ll be welcoming Josie Loftus of Once Upon a Time to the show. Once Upon a Time is a local history project based at the Manchester Communication Academy. Once Upon a Time has been involved in a number of projects since its formation – from recording oral history to publishing history pamphlets. The project holds ‘drop in’ sessions every Monday for people to reminisce about the local area, and also publishes a magazine three times a year. Josie was one of the founding members of the project (and she was also the first voice to ever be heard on North Manchester FM, as she launched her Golden Voices show when the station went on air).

As well as talking to Josie on the show, I’ll be reading Yesterday’s Papers. And you can pit your wits against the Who Am I? quiz – just how well do you know North Manchester’s iconic buildings.

Catch A Helping of History on Tuesday at 12 on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
