Hannah Kate

poet, short story writer and editor based in Manchester

North Manchester FM: Hannah’s Bookshelf, Saturday 13 February, 2-4pm

Tune in this Saturday at 2pm for another episode of Hannah’s Bookshelf on North Manchester FM. This week, I’ll be talking to the fabulous Julian Edge, who you may recall was a contributor to both 3 Minute Scares and 3 Minute Santas last year.

Julian is from Stoke-on-Trent, but that’s another story. He worked around the world as English language teacher and teacher educator, moving to Manchester in 2005, first to take up a post at Manchester University and later working as a counsellor for Age UK. He has published a number of books and articles on professional and personal development and two novels, Satisfaction in Times of Anger (2017) and Blindsided (2020). He is excited by storytelling and experiencing the creative processes involved, especially through working with others in writers’ groups.

I’ll be talking to Julian about his novels, and about storytelling and writing in general. And, of course, he’ll be sharing his selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.

Catch the show on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
