Hannah Kate

poet, short story writer and editor based in Manchester

North Manchester FM: Hannah’s Bookshelf, Saturday 20 February, 2-4pm

Join me on Saturday at 2pm on North Manchester FM for another episode of Hannah’s Bookshelf. This week, I’ll be welcoming the brill Katherine Horrex to the virtual studio.

Katherine was born in Liverpool, grew up in Hull, and lives in Manchester. Her poems have appeared in the Forward Prizes 2021 anthology, the Times Literary Supplement, Morning Star, Poetry London, Poetry Salzburg Review, and others. Her first collection Growlery is published by Carcanet. Katherine currently works as a tutor and teaching assistant in Manchester.

I’ll be talking to Katherine about her new collection, her writing and influences, and about poetry more generally. And, of course, she’ll be sharing her selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.

Catch the show on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
